Paxil And Zyprexa

Paxil And Zyprexa

Thinking of combining Paxil and Zyprexa?

Paxil is approved by the FDA for depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

It has a long and colorful history of causing hundreds of side effects and withdrawal problems in patients who take it.

Paxil And Zyprexa

Zyprexa, an antipsychotic medicine, is approved by the FDA for schizophrenia, acute mixed or manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and maintenance treatment in bipolar disorder.

Both drugs often cause weight gain. If you combine the Paxil and Zyprexa, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll gain weight. Another common side effect is a complete loss of libido.

Paxil and Zyprexa can be prescribed together by your physician. Because – at least in the United States – any physician can prescribe any medicine for any condition. It’s called ‘off label’ use, when a doctor prescribes a medicine for other than it’s intended usage.

The real question to ask yourself is whether or not you really need such a desperate measure.

Zyprexa can cause extremely unpleasant side effects such as diabetes, severe anxiety, tardive dyskenisia, (where your muscles spasm uncontrollably – sometimes irreversibly) and excessive weight gain, as I already mentioned.

Paxil also causes many hundreds of side effects; way too many to list here.

Both Paxil and Zyprexa cause severe withdrawal in some patients who attempt to stop treatment. Never withdraw from Paxil or Zyprexa without telling you doctor! And never stop taking either drug abruptly. Slow taper is required to reduce (and hopefully eliminate) the withdrawal symptoms.

Only your doctor can say for sure, but combining Paxil with Zyprexa should be considered a ‘last resort’ for those who truly feel they have reached the point where nothing else can help them.

For those extreme cases, a short term regimen may help patients get some ‘breathing room’ so they can work on regaining their strength and personal power.

The real danger may be to consider this drug combination as a ‘lifestyle choice’ to cope with the unpleasant experience of life that you’d rather avoid.

In addition to reading about combining Paxil and Zyprexa, it’s also important to understand the underlying causes that would lead someone to such a painful place.

I almost feel guilty because my life has become so enjoyable and so easy. Especially since I remember how miserable I used to be.

Basically it comes down to making one slight shift in what you do everyday, and you can watch in amazement as your life slowly begins to start working out in almost every way.

It’s such an important change that I’ve written a complete e-book about it. And I’d like to give you a copy for free. All you have to do is write your first name and primary email address into the space below, and you’ll be receiving a link to download the e-book right away.

Free e-book reveals exactly what to do right now, starting today, to feel better.
