Why does Paxil cause so much harm in some people and not in others?
How can some people take Paxil and say it’s the greatest thing in the world, while others take Paxil and say it’s the worst thing in the world?
You won’t find the answer on the official Paxil website, or anywhere else on the internet, for that matter.
Nobody knows for sure, and few will even venture a guess except to say it’s always bad – or always good.
I have a theory:
Those who benefit MOST from taking Paxil suffer the least harm.
Those who benefit the LEAST from taking Paxil suffer the most harm.
Think about your own situation. If you or someone you love is taking Paxil – what harm does it do? How severe is your suffering?
Now, think back to when you first started taking it. Why was it prescribed?
One person wrote me just yesterday, saying the doctor prescribed it for nail-biting. As you may imagine, he’s going through intense Paxil withdrawal.
On the opposite end of the ‘Paxil harm’ spectrum, a woman wrote me and said Paxil keeps her sane and normal. Severe depression and bipolar disorder run in her family. She experiences no withdrawal whenever she discontinues Paxil for certain periods of time.
I estimate ten percent of the people taking Paxil truly benefit from it. The other 90% of Paxil users probably are harmed in some way.

The greatest Paxil harm

This is the greatest harm from Paxil – it keeps you from feeling your feelings.
“Hurray!” you may say, “I feel awful – depressed, anxious, angry… who wants that?!”
Emotions – all emotions – are the source of your power. You need the energy that’s currently trapped in those emotions you deny.
You need the juice that’s in your anger.
You need the muscle that’s lost in your depression.
Taking Paxil compares to throwing that power in the basement and locking the door.
It’s also important to understand the underlying causes that would lead someone to such a painful place.I almost feel guilty because my life has become so enjoyable and so easy. Especially since I remember how miserable I used to be.
